Blue Bay Whale Watching, Byron Bay's most enjoyable Whale Watching tour. Come and appreciate a personal experience with our Majestic Humpback Whales from the solace of our 8.5m Cougar Cat "Bay Warrior" without getting wet. Experience the rush of seeing Humpback Whales breach and witness the curiosity and playfulness of these heavenly titans.

Blue Bay Whale watching tours depart from the picturesque Brunswick Heads Boat Harbour where our customers step safely on-board our vessel without getting wet. The “Bay Warrior” was purposely built for comfort and stability. It has a large cabin with big glass windows for equally great viewing from indoors. Our stable back deck is completely sheltered from the sun and the rain which makes for comfortable viewing outdoors. During the trip, you can move up onto our elevated front deck and enjoy 360 degree views of whales and scenery. The “Bay Warrior” is the only whale watching vessel in Byron Bay with a full size cabin, shelter from the weather and a toilet. We believe in making our customers as comfortable as possible, so you and your friends and family can fully enjoy their Byron Bay whale watching experience. Small group sizes of no more than 12 passengers per trip allow our friendly professional crew to give you the personalized service you’d expect from the charter operator of your choice.

The Byron Bay whale watching season starts in early June. The first migrating Humpback Whales are normally sighted in May, but we don’t start whale watching until there are enough whales around to ensure that you will have plenty to see. Byron Bay’s whale watching season ends in early November.

Please note

48 hours notice will be required for all cancellations. Cancellations within 48 hours of departure will incur the full cost of the booking. If we deem sea or bar conditions to be unsafe or too unpleasant for our customers, we will cancel the trip and give you a full refund.
